Ronald Morse
Ronald Orley Morse
Born October 31, 1933 and passed away May 19, 2025 he was the first beloved son of H. Grant and Huldah Slauson Morse. Ronald grew up on and helped run a family farm in Denver NY that he shared with his parents, his four brothers Emery, Guildford, John and Stanley and four sisters Laurine, Annette Morse McGuire, Joyce Morse Olson and Fay. As a young man, Ronald chose to train to become an electrician and built his own house in Halcott Center NY where he was a trusted member of his community living there for many years. Ronald truly loved nature, he fed the birds, deer, and wildlife and enjoyed watching them. He grew a large garden yearly and preserved his own food. He also ran a large sugar bush business for many years and sold his own maple syrup and candies. One of Ronald’s great enjoyments throughout the years was bowling and square dancing, the latter which he “actively” recruited people young and old!
In his later years after retirement, Ronald moved to senior living in Delhi and became a part of that community. He grew a garden there and worked on one of his last passions, an old collector item John Deere tractor that he proudly trucked all over to parades and fairs and was always happy to have a conversation about! Ronald had a large family, with many nieces, nephews, cousins and “grands”. He attended all family functions, reunions, birthdays, dinners, etc. He took being the oldest brother very seriously and watched over all his family. He loved them very much and he will be dearly missed.
Rest in peace our dear brother Ronald. There will be a memorial service and plans to be announced at a later date.
