Cheryl A. Myers

Cheryl A. Myers 65, of Fleischmanns and formerly of Pine Hill, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Sunday September 6th 2026. She was born on July 1st 1961 in Margaretville, she was the daughter of the late Donald L. and Lucille M.( Benjamin) Myers Besides her parents, Cheryl was predeceased by her brother Donald C.( Butch) Myers in 2018.

She is survived by her life partner Tom J. Phillips and her son T.J. Phillips of Fleischmanns, her sisters Leslie Gavette( Russell Drew) of Margaretville, Marybeth Gluglielmetti (Chris Fino) of Deposit, and a brother John L. Fields Jr. of Crossville, TN. Cheryl is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, Stretch, Rocko, Bella and Macy and her two cats Greta and Eartha, who brought her much comfort and happiness.

In her earlier years Cheryl moved around quite a bit and even lived in Rock Springs WY for a few years and finally returning and settling back in her Catskill Mountains.

Cheryl was employed with Belleayre Mountain food service as a bartender for 40 years serving up good spirits and conversations until a health issue forced her retirement in December of 2024. She also was part-owner/operator of TJ's Cafe and Pepacton Bait and Tackle in Arkville NY, where she worked tirelessly.

Despite Cheryl's feisty spirit, she will be remembered as hardworking, a devoted and faithful partner, a loving mother and sister who enjoyed working, loved cooking, the outdoors, gardening, traveling to new places, especially the Carolinas, her animals and her family and friends.

Her life was one of connection and devotion with the countless lives she touched and the memories she created will be treasured by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.

There will be no calling hours.

A celebration of Cheryl's life will be held on Saturday, October 17th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the MTC Community Room on Academy Street in Margaretville.
