Jolene “Jojo” Hitchcock

Jolene Joy Myers, affectionately known as “JoJo” was born September 9, 1982, in Stamford NY, the daughter of Frederick Myers and Alberta Van Dyke Myers.

Jolene worked as the manager at Morabito in Davenport, where many in the community came to know her. She had also worked at the country store in both Roxbury and Stamford.

Jolene was predeceased in 2019 by both of her parents, and by her beloved husband Anthony “Tony” Hitchcock.

She is survived by her stepfather William R Sanford Sr., her brothers Aaron “AJ” Van Dyke, Robert (Beverly) Sanford, and Will Sanford Jr. Also surviving are her sister’s Tamara (Leonard) Clitso, Serena (Olin) Iindegaard, Billie Jo Sanford, Melody Myers, and Sadane Myers along with her great aunt Mary (Myers) Ravisi. She is also survived by countless aunts’, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews.

Jolene never had children of her own, but her nieces and nephews were her children in heart. She loved them as her own, and the place they held in her heart was immeasurable.

Jolene was quiet, lovable, sweet, funny and kind, but she was also tough, stubborn and fiercely herself. Those who knew JoJo knew there was no mistaking that strength. She was loved by all who knew her.

Jolene passed away suddenly on September 6th, 2026, at 43 years old, just three days before her 44th birthday.

At the request of the family, there will be no services at this time.
